Segun Falola – Dawaloju

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY



Segun Falola is an indigene of Iragbiji but born and raised in Ilesha Osun State and presently based in Lagos Nigeria. He is a graduate of Quantity Surveying from FUTA Akure (2004) and presently running an MBA program in NOUN. He is a chartered and registered Quantity Surveyor in Nigeria.

Segun started music from The Union Baptist Church Ilesha at an early age always following his mother who was the Choir-Mistress to church. He joined the Oratorio Music group at The Federal Polytechnic Ede in 1998 led by Aunty Oyindamola Adejumo; Baba Sala’s daughter where he developed serious interest in concerts, dancing, singing and recording music. Falola is a close friend of Late OJB Jezreel, Styl-Plus, Tolucci, Psalmos, Elijah Daniel, Femi O’Smiles, etc and an in-law to Yinka Ayefele. He is happily married with kids.

DAWALOJU (“Assurance” of victory)

The song; DAWALOJU is another remix of old church song usually sung by the children choir of most churches in Nigeria many years back. Genre is Pop, Techno fusion with Afrobeats. The chorus was rearranged with new verses composed by Segun Falola and Victor Ikem to arrive at what we have today as DAWALOJU.

The message of the song is the expression of assurance of victory in any human endeavour. Sleepless nights of recording at Victor Ikem Studios in Lagos have yielded this good result in the song DAWALOJU. The song is beginning to cause a stir all over the social media, internet, Nigeria, Africa and beyond.
