VIDEO: How Wizkid, Wande Coal Took a Loan to Reach His Success – Godwin Tom Reveals

Godwin Tom is the Managing Director of Sony Music Publishing Nigeria and recently revealed something quite incredible. During a radio interview, Godwin stated that Afrobeats star Wizkid and R&B singer Wande Coal once took a loan to fund their respective music careers.



The music executive explained that Wizkid was not in a financially stable position at the time but what made him such an inspiring story was the fact that he had faith in himself and what he could one day become. His belief in his own abilities and potential to what he is today is a testament to his determination and driven mindset.

Furthermore, Godwin went on to explain that this is not an uncommon situation for music artistes who are under the management of a record label. Despite having the support of a label, many will still invest their own money and even take a loan to promote their own careers. This creates a strong sense of ownership and responsibility in the artistes and allows them to take complete control and power over the success of their music career.
