"Fish Roundabout is the debut mixtape of ReubenRane. It bears the name of a now demolished fountain from the 90s in his hometown of Minna, Nigeria. This roundabout was the point around which ReubenRane was driven to go for music practice, buy SEGA games and consoles and even go to have playtimes with Sh3ksy, who would become the sole producer of this project. This 5-song mixtape captures growing up with little options in an environment with less information than most and unlearning a lot in the present that was picked up in the past.


“Normal Life” asks what it’s like to exist in abnormal situations, “Moses” is a trap song that establishes the nonconformity of the hero, “A’ Minna” employs Hausa rap and pays respect to the cradle in Minna, “BreakHeartsForYou” is a love ballad just promising to do the most, while “Story Buildings” closes the tape reminding listeners to always keep the flames alight."
