THE OUTGOING AND INCOMING FLAG OFFICER COMMANDING WESTERN NAVAL COMMAND.

 

July 12th 2023 was symbolic in every aspect of the word, as it did not only witness  the farewell Parade, handing and Taking Over Parade Ceremony between Rear Admiral JD Akpan the outgoing Flag Officer Commanding, Western Naval Command and the incoming FOC, Western Naval Command but also the striking coincidences in the names of their wives and their Alma Mata.

This was brought to the fore as Rear Admiral JD Akpan drew our attention to this nature's coincidence of interest between both wives as they bear the same first name "Zainab" ,also both are graduates of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.

In his witty  usual sense of humour, he jokingly remarked that it is a sign of God's blessings on both men.

We congratulate Mrs Zainab Akpan on her new appointment as the NOWA National Vice President and We also use this opportunity to welcome our Mummy West  Mrs Zainab Abdullahi. 

We have no doubt in your leadership strides as we are assured of a transformation from the National to the Western region and all other Navy establishments in Nigeria judging from your antecedents.
