The Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, is delighted to announce its 13th, 14th, and 15th TASUED Convocation ceremonies, set to unfurl a week of academic celebrations. Esteemed for its educational prowess, TASUED invites the general public, along with graduates, alumni, students, and parents, to partake in the convocation activities scheduled from Wednesday, 22nd November to Tuesday, 28th November 2023.

A Glimpse into the Convocation Week

TASUED is orchestrating a series of events to mark this convocation, celebrating the efforts and achievements of its students. Here’s what to expect during this memorable week:
Diverse Array of EventsHealth Walk: Initiating the week with a focus on wellbeing on Wednesday, 22nd November, from 8 AM to 10 AM at the Sport Complex.
Press Pally: An interactive session in the Senate Chamber on the same day from 11 AM to 1 PM.
Cultural and Sporting Displays: Including a Handball Competition and an Exhibition at the Sport Complex and Academic Building, respectively, on Thursday, 23rd November.
Dramatic Performances: Showcasing the university’s artistic talent on Thursday afternoon.
Religious Services: Reflecting TASUED’s inclusive spirit with a Special Jumaat Service and an Interdenominational Christian Prayer on Friday, 24th and Sunday, 26th November.
The Convocation HighlightsAlumni Cocktail: An evening to reconnect and network in the Quadrennial Garden on Sunday, 26th November.
Convocation Ceremonies: The formal conferring of degrees on Monday, 27th for undergraduates, and Tuesday, 28th for postgraduates, at OGD Hall.
Key Information for GraduandsAcademic Gown Collection: Graduands must visit the university website to make a payment of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N7,500.00) for academic gown rental and follow the steps outlined for gown collection. Note that gowns and invitation cards cannot be collected by proxy.
Gown Return: All academic gowns must be returned by Monday, 4th December 2023, to avoid a penalty fee for each day of delay.
Final NotesConvocation Etiquette: Guests are advised to be seated by 9:00 AM promptly for the convocation ceremonies.
