Access Bank has announced its call for applications for the Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton 2023, a unique program aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs. The program provides an opportunity for women business owners to gain expert training, a mini-MBA certification, and financial grants to help grow their businesses. About the Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton

Launched in 2019, the Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton is the first women-in-business support initiative of its kind in the industry. It is part of Access Bank’s W Initiative, which has been at the forefront of empowering women entrepreneurs.

In its maiden edition, the program provided a free mini-MBA certification for 50 women entrepreneurs in Nigeria, along with financial grants worth N9Million to the top three applicants. This initiative was conducted in conjunction with the International Finance Corporation (IFC, a member of the World Bank Group). Since its inception, the program has extended its reach to 10 other African countries, providing Mini-MBA certifications to over 300 women entrepreneurs across the continent.

The upcoming 5th season of the program aims to provide mini-MBA certification to another 120 women entrepreneurs in Nigeria, and to offer grants worth over N17Million Naira to Women Small and Medium Enterprises (WSMEs).

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the program, applicants must meet the following criteria:Be a woman entrepreneur
Be aged between 18-55 years
Have an existing business that has been operational for at least one year
The business should have at least 50% female ownership
Application Process

Interested applicants will need to submit an online application. All applications will be reviewed and screened by independent business experts. The top 500 candidates will then be required to send in a sixty-second video pitch for the opportunity to be selected as part of the final top 120 candidates.
