BUK Online Screening for Newly Admitted Undergraduates 2023
The Bayero University Kano (BUK) commences its 2022/2023 online screening for newly admitted undergraduates from June 5, 2023. The University Portal is now open for the screening process. Students are guided through several steps, including fee payment, document upload, and registration. Further instructions are available on the University's portal. Delays of 12-24 hours may be expected for document approval.
The Bayero University Kano (BUK), a leading institution renowned for its academic prowess in Nigeria, has officially announced the commencement of the 2022/2023 online screening process for its newly admitted undergraduate students. This screening is a mandatory exercise that solidifies their admission into the prestigious university.

Kick-off Date and Portal Access
The online screening exercise kicks off on Monday, 5th June 2023. To facilitate this process, the University has activated the portal, allowing students to begin the screening exercise immediately. Prospective candidates are advised to
visit the official BUK screening website to participate in the 2022/2023 Undergraduate Screening Exercise.
Detailed Screening Steps
Below is the detailed seven-step process students are expected to follow for the online screening:
Step 1: JAMB Clearance
Students must first clear with JAMB by accepting and printing their JAMB Admission letter.
Step 2: Admission Status Confirmation
Students are required to
login here using their JAMB Number, State of origin, and gender to check their admission status.
Step 3: Document Downloads
Download the BUK Admission letter, Undertaking, and University Health Services Registration Form from the designated site.
Step 4: Payment of Acceptance Fee
Generate, download, and print a BUK Personalized Payment Form (BUKPPF). The Acceptance fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) is reflected on the student’s BUKPPF, to be paid using Remita e-Payments and e-Collection platforms.
Please read, understand, and follow the payment procedure carefully. Payments can be validated by the students by clicking ‘check payment status’ at the payment page.
Note: All fees are not refundable after payment.
Step 5: Document Upload
Upload the following documents in jpg format (Size must be less than 1MB):JAMB Slip
JAMB Admission Letter
O Level Result
A Level Result (For Direct Entry Candidates only)
Any other relevant documents
Note: Candidates may experience a delay of 12 to 24 hours while awaiting documents to be approved.
Step 6: Acknowledgement Slip
Print the Acknowledgement Slip, which contains the registration number and further instructions for the registration and documentation.
Step 7: Online Registration
After successful completion of the above steps, students are to
proceed for registration here for the online registration exercise.
