MIVA Open University, a uLesson Group subsidiary, obtains its official NUC license, marking a significant milestone for online education in Nigeria. The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted MIVA Open University, a subsidiary of The uLesson Group, an official license to operate as an open university in Nigeria. This significant milestone underscores The uLesson Group’s dedication to providing outstanding educational services to secondary and tertiary students.

With the license from the NUC, MIVA Open University can now offer full bachelor’s degree programs through Online Distance e-Learning (ODeL). The institution will commence its degree programs with the first cohort in September 2023, offering courses in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Science, Software Engineering, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, and Public Policy & Administration.

The university has plans for rapid expansion in 2024, aiming to offer degrees in critical areas such as Nursing, Public Health, Education, and Law, among others. This license demonstrates MIVA Open University’s compliance with NUC’s regulatory requirements, guaranteeing that the educational services provided are of the highest quality.
