Music is a tough hustle for upcoming artists, says Weiser

One of the rising stars in the growing music genre, Afrobeats, is Adekunle Boluwatife Oluwagbemileke aka Weiser.

The Hydeli Records signee admitted that the industry is a tough terrain for upcoming stars.

He said,

“Speaking about the challenges he had encountered while pushing his music in the industry, “I have encountered a series of challenges including not having enough funds to pay my producer, and do media runs. Music is a tough hustle for upcoming artists. I’ll go to shows, beg to perform.

There was a time one of my former producer back then told me to come for a show, I got there and he snubbed me immediately we got there, I started hustling to perform on my own, the MC kept telling me to calm down until everyone left, only two people were left when the MC later called me to perform.”

Weiser, a talented singer and a songwriter who was inspired by Qdot, Olamide, Young John, Tope Alabi and Esther Igbekele explained how he got into the music scene.

“I grew up listening to mostly gospel artistes like Tope Alabi, Esther Igbekele, etc. Their danceable songs made me love music as a kid and made me want to do music too.”

Weiser holds a diploma in Applied Aviation Science from OAU-Ile Ife and BSc. in Biological Sciences from Adeleke University, Ede.

In 2023, Weiser released the LOGRHYTHM EP, a body of work that has eight tracks.
