WAEC Digital Certificate Platform Underway
On October 20, 2022, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) will unveil its long-awaited digital certificate platform.
Stakeholders can quickly and securely access WAEC certificates using the Digital Platform.
Institutions, corporations, and recruitment agencies can easily bulk/individual certificate verification. This digital confirmation eliminates fraud.
The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, Nigeria, announced the debut of the digital certificate platform on Thursday, October 20.
The platform, a mobile and web-based application with powerful features, was designed specifically for candidates, individuals, institutions, and organisations to access, share, request, confirm certificates, and recover forgotten WAEC candidates’ examination numbers, according to a signed statement by the Acting Head of Public Relations, WAEC Nigeria, Moyosola Adesina.
WAEC Nigeria is set to unveil the much-anticipated WAEC Digital Certificate Platform as part of its mission of encouraging academic and moral excellence, promoting sustainable human resource development and international cooperation, meeting growing global demands, and ensuring prompt service delivery.
“The council is happy to launch this innovation at a time when the entire world has gone digital.” This demonstrates that the Council maintains its mission of being a world-class examining body, delivering value to its stakeholders’ educational aspirations by offering prompt solutions to any bureaucratic obstacles linked with academic certificates.
“The Digital Platform makes it easier, faster, and safer for stakeholders to access certifications.” Users will be able to recover burnt, lost, or damaged certificates using this digital platform. Adesina took note.
The spokesman for WAEC Nigeria added that the digital certificate platform will, among other things, minimise the chances of fraud and the bureaucratic inefficiencies connected with manual certificate issue and collection operations.
“The benefits of this invention are significant, as applicants who have sat for the WASSCE in the past and present may easily access and share the original copies of their certificates, which can be promptly authenticated from a credible and trusted source, regardless of location.”
Furthermore, universities, corporations, and recruitment agencies can easily perform bulk/individual certificate confirmation at the same time. The trustworthiness and legitimacy of this certification on the digital platform eliminates the possibility of fraud.
The product will be unveiled/launched on Thursday, October 20, 2022. The general public and other stakeholders are hereby encouraged to use the new WAEC Digital Certificate Platform, which is intended to reduce the bureaucratic bottlenecks associated with manual certificate issues and collection procedures.
“The WAEC Digital Certificate Platform can be accessed online at
www.waec.org“. The mobile application is available for download from the Android and iOS app stores. Stakeholders can learn more by visiting the WAEC website.
