Programme Overview

The General Nursing ND/HND programme spans four years, divided into two years for the National Diploma (ND) and two years for the Higher National Diploma (HND).

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission, candidates must meet the following criteria:JAMB Score: A minimum score of 150 points is required.
SSCE/GCE Results: Candidates must have at least five credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, obtained in no more than two sittings. Note that NABTEB results cannot be combined with WAEC or NECO results.
Age Requirement: Candidates must be 16 years or older at the time of the application.
Medical Fitness: Candidates must be medically fit.
Application Procedure

Forms are available from Friday, 16th August 2024.

You can obtain the forms at the Office of the Registrar, College of Nursing Sciences, Institute of Health Sciences, Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, or via the Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe Website.
Application Fee

A non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Naira (₦10,000) must be paid into the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) Account through Remita.

Cash payments will not be accepted.
Document Submission

Candidates must submit the completed application forms along with the following documents:Recent passport-size photographs
Photocopies of all relevant credentials, including Primary and Secondary school certificates
Photocopy of the receipt of purchase of the Admission form or Remita receipt
Local Government Indigene Certificate
Certificate of Birth or Declaration of Age
JAMB Print-out
SSCE Scratch-card(s)
