The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.
You can now check how you performed in the exam that was held from April 30 to June 24, 2024.

WAEC Result Overview for 2024
In 2024, 1,814,736 students registered for the WASSCE from 25,126 schools in Nigeria.
Out of these, 1,805,216 students actually took the exam.
WAEC has released results for 1,685,889 students, which is 93.39% of those who took the exam.
Some subjects for 119,327 students, which is 6.61%, are still being processed.

What You Need to Check WAEC Results
To check your WAEC result for 2024 or earlier years, you will need a Result Checker PIN and Serial Number.
These details can be found on the Smart Identity Card that you used during the exam.
If you do not have your result checker PIN, you can buy one from WAEC for ₦4,250 through the Request Management System portal.
Here’s how to do it:Visit the WAEC Request Management System portal.
Your Transaction Ref No will be generated automatically.
Choose “Request For Service” under “Select a Request Type”.
Pick “Sale of WAEC Direct Result Checker” under “Select a Request”.
Enter your Name, Phone Number, and Email Address.
Click “Proceed to Online Payment” to buy your result checker PIN.
How to Check WAEC Results Online
To check your WAEC result online, follow these steps:Go to the WAEC portal.
Enter your Examination Number, which is your 7-digit centre number and your 3-digit candidate number combined.
Select 2024 as your Examination Year.
Choose “SCHOOL CANDIDATE RESULT” under Examination Type.
Enter your PIN and Voucher Number.
Click “Submit” to see your results.
How to Check WAEC Results Via SMS
You can also check your WAEC result through SMS:Type an SMS in this format: WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear
Send the SMS to 32327 (for MTN, Airtel, and Glo users).
Each SMS costs ₦30.
You will get your result sent to your phone.
For example, if your exam number is 4250101001 and your PIN is 123456789012, your SMS should be:WAEC4250101001123456789012*2024.
What to Do If You Have Issues Checking WAEC Results
If you have problems checking your WAEC result online or via SMS, you can get help by sending an email to [email protected].
In the email, include the error message you received, your examination number, exam type, and the year of the exam.
Getting Your WAEC Digital Certificate
If you completed the 2024 WAEC exams without issues like unresolved queries or exam malpractice, you can get your digital certificate on the official digital certificate platform.
Physical certificates will be available within 90 days.
