Eligibility for UTME Candidates

Registration for the 2024 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (PUTME) screening starts on Monday, 5th August and ends on Sunday, 1st September, 2024.

To be eligible, you must choose OAU, Ile-Ife as your first choice in the 2024/2025 UTME.

You should score 200 or above in the UTME.

Ensure you have at least five credit passes, including English Language, in no more than two sittings.

Attendance at the Post-UTME screening is mandatory to avoid disqualification.

Details for Direct Entry Candidates

Direct Entry (DE) candidates should note that registration for the 2024 PUTME screening begins on Monday, 19th August, 2024.

Unlike UTME candidates, DE candidates will not undergo any additional screening examination other than the verification of their uploaded credentials.
Information for Pre-Degree and JUPEB Candidates

If you made OAU, Ile-Ife your first choice in the 2024/2025 UTME and scored 200 or above, you are eligible for screening.

OAU Pre-Degree and OAU JUPEB candidates are expected to register for the 2024/2025 Post UTME.
General Admission Requirements

To gain admission, you must hold a General Certificate of Education (or equivalent) with credit passes in at least five subjects.

A pass in English Language at O’ Level is necessary.

For all faculties except Arts, Law, and Bachelor of Arts in Education, a credit pass in Mathematics at O’ Level is needed.

A pass in the Higher School Certificate’s General Paper equals a credit pass in English Language at O’ Level.
Application Steps

At times, the server may be busy.

Follow these steps to apply:Visit the OAU Admissions Portal.
Log on with your Registration Number as Username and your Surname as Password.
Fill in the biodata form and click continue.
Obtain a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) from this site only, and use it to make payment online or at any commercial bank.
Once payment is accepted, the system logs out and you can re-login.
Important Notes

OAU has zero tolerance for result falsification and examination malpractice.

Applicants who provide false information or upload incorrect credentials will be automatically disqualified.

The screening fee is two thousand naira (N2,000.00) plus e-portal access charge.
