Following the approval of the Vice-Chancellor, the deadline for registration for the 2024/2025 Post-UTME screening exercise for both UTME and Direct Entry admissions into undergraduate programmes at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, has been extended to 30th September 2024.
Candidates who have not yet applied are advised to follow the instructions provided below to complete their application, while those who have already applied can update their details before the new deadline.
All candidates must ensure that their details on the FUTO portal match those on JAMB CAPS.

Who Can Apply for FUTO Post-UTME/DE?
FUTO Post UTME Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must:Have chosen FUTO as their first choice in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE).
Score a minimum of 150 in the UTME. Candidates who did not initially choose FUTO but scored at least 150 can also apply by changing their first choice institution to FUTO on the JAMB CAPS.

Direct Entry Requirements
Direct Entry candidates must possess OND/HND/First Degree and A’Level in relevant subjects.
Screening Process
The screening will be based on verified JAMB scores and WAEC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB results uploaded on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
Important NoticesEnsure your details on JAMB CAPS match the Post-UTME application portal.
Use a valid mobile number and e-mail address.
Upload O’Level results on JAMB CAPS by 30 September 2024.
Only candidates who successfully submit applications online will be considered.
For Direct Entry CandidatesEnsure academic transcripts reach the Registrar, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, by 16 September 2024.
Failure to submit transcripts will result in disqualification.
Application and Payment Procedure
To apply, follow these steps:Visit the
FUTO website and click on “Prospective Students” then “Undergraduate”.
Alternatively, use this
direct link to access FUTO Post-UTME/DE application portal.
Click on “Generate invoice”.
Enter your JAMB Registration Number to generate a Payment Invoice with the Remita Retrieval Reference Number (RRR).
Pay the N2,000.00 processing fee at any bank or using an ATM card.
Return to the FUTO Post-UTME/DE Application portal.
Click on “Application Form”.
Enter your JAMB Registration number and login.
Complete the form correctly.
Confirm and submit your application.
Print the acknowledgement slip.
Await further communication from the University.
