Eligibility Criteria for BOSU’s Post UTME and Direct Entry
To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:University Preference: You must select Borno State University as your first choice and score at least 150 in the UTME. Some programmes require higher scores. For details, visit the BOSU cut-off mark information.
Academic Merits: A minimum of five relevant credits in O’ Level, including English and Mathematics, is required.
UTME Subjects: You must have taken the appropriate subject combinations in the 2024 UTME.
Direct Entry Requirements: Direct Entry candidates must:Have at least five relevant O’ Level credits, including English and Mathematics.
Achieve a minimum of 9 points in NCE, a lower credit in ND/HND, or a Second Class Lower in a degree programme.
Changing Preferences
If your score does not meet the cut-off for your chosen programme, you should change your course via the JAMB portal to one that matches your score.
Uploading O’ Level Results
It is essential to upload your O’ Level results to the JAMB website.
Failure to do so may affect your admission chances.
If awaiting results, indicate ‘Awaiting Result’ and update your application once the results are available.
Step-by-Step Guide: How to Apply for BOSU Post UTME Screening
Follow these steps to apply for the BOSU Post UTME/Direct Entry screening:Visit the BOSU Website: Go to the
BOSU official website and select the PORTAL option.
Access the Post UTME Portal: Visit the
Post UTME Portal and select ‘New application’.
Login: Use your phone number as both username and password.
Make Payment:ATM Card Payment: Select ‘proceed to payment’, choose your card type, enter card details and confirm with the OTP sent to you. A fee of N2,000.00 will be deducted.
Bank Payment: Choose a bank, print the e-invoice with the Remita Reference No., and pay N2,000.00 at a commercial bank. Obtain a receipt from the bank.
Return to the BOSU Website: After payment, go back to the BOSU website, select ‘existing applicant’, and log in with your phone number.
Choose Your Programme: Select the programme of study you wish to apply for.
Enter O’ Level Results: Provide your O’ Level results (maximum of two sittings). Direct Entry candidates should also enter details of their diploma or statement of result.
Upload Documents (For DE Candidates Only): Ensure each document is between 200kb and 300Kb in PDF format.
Review and Submit: Carefully review your application before submitting it.
Print Your Application: After submission, print your application for future reference.
