Dr. Igbokwe has outlined several areas of focus aimed at transforming the polytechnic:Staff Welfare: A top priority is ensuring the well-being of both teaching and non-teaching staff.
Fight Against Malpractices: The new rector plans to tackle issues such as malpractices, extortion, and lateness to duty.
Campus Cleanliness and Security: A vow to restore cleanliness and curb vices like cultism and indecent dressing on campus.
ICT and Smart Campus: Promoting the Smart Campus Initiative and enhancing the polytechnic’s use of ICT.
Economic and Social Development Plans

In addition to improving the academic environment, Dr. Igbokwe is committed to boosting the polytechnic’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
