This is to inform all candidates seeking admission into the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) that the Post-UTME screening exercise has been extended to Saturday, 12th October 2024.
Candidates who have not completed the screening process are advised to utilise this extension, as no further extensions will be granted beyond the stated date.

Eligibility Criteria for UNIMAID’s Degree Programmes
To be eligible for the Post UTME screening, you must have taken the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored at least 140. Some courses may require higher scores.
For Direct Entry candidates, you need to have a Lower Credit/Merit in Diploma, 9 points in NCE/IJMB, or a Second Class Lower Division from an accredited institution.
Even if you did not initially choose UNIMAID during your UTME registration, you are still eligible to participate in the screening.
How to Submit Your UNIMAID Post UTME Application
The application process begins on Monday, 19th August 2024, and will close on Saturday, 12th October 2024.
A non-refundable application fee of NGN 2,000, excluding bank charges, is required.
Detailed Application ProcedureInitial Login: Visit the
UNIMAID Post UTME portal and use your UTME Number as both the username and password. These details are case-sensitive.
Contact Details: Provide a functional email address and phone number, then proceed to the payment section.
Payment Instructions: You will be redirected to the REMITA platform. Payment can be made via card or bank deposit.Card Payment: An OTP will be sent to your registered phone and email to complete the transaction.
Bank Payment: Generate a payment slip with an RRR number and make the payment at your bank.
Payment Verification: After payment, return to the dashboard to verify it.
Personal Information: Your name and applied course will be displayed. Fill in your biodata and next of kin details.
Academic Qualifications: Enter your O’Level results, specifying the number of sittings (up to two). Direct Entry candidates must also provide details of their higher education certificates.
Document Upload: Scan and upload the required documents as mentioned earlier.
Review and Submit: Carefully review your entries. Once everything is correct, click the ‘Submit’ button.
Completion: A confirmation message will appear, indicating that your application has been successfully submitted.
After the Application Process
You do not need to undergo any physical screening or aptitude tests after submitting your application.
Your admission status will be communicated through the CAPS portal.
Make sure your O’ Level results are uploaded on the JAMB CAPS website.
