Basic Requirements for Nigerian Army RecruitmentApplicants must be single and Nigerian citizens by birth with a National Identity Card or NIN slip and BVN.
Applicants must meet the medical, physical, and psychological standards of the Nigerian Army.
Applicants must have no criminal convictions.
Applicants need a birth certificate endorsed by the National Population Commission, Hospital, or Local Government.
Applicants must have a valid certificate of state of origin.
Applicants must be at least 1.68 metres tall for males and 1.65 metres for females.
Non-trades applicants must be between 18 and 22 years, and trades applicants must not exceed 26 years as of 31 December 2024.
All applicants must have a minimum of four passes in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, including English, in no more than two sittings.
Applicants for trades roles must also have a Trade Test/City Guild Certificate.
Applicants must bring warm clothing (cardigan, head warmer, hand glove, blanket) to the screening centre.
