The NSUK Senate Decision on Third Semester Lectures and Exam is aimed at helping students make up for incomplete semesters or carryover courses.

Students who meet certain criteria are invited to participate in this optional third semester.


Eligibility Criteria for Third Semester

To be eligible for the NSUK Third Semester programme, students must meet one or more of the following conditions:Students with carryover courses from first and second semesters, not exceeding 24 credit units.
Students who began exams in a semester but could not continue due to health or similar issues.
Students who missed an exam in any semester.
Students with late admission, causing missed examinations.
Charges for Third Semester Courses

Eligible students must pay N20,000 per course to take part in the third semester programme.
Commencement Date for NSUK Third Semester

The third semester lectures will begin after the completion of the second semester examinations.

These lectures will be completed before the start of the first semester of the upcoming academic session.
Proposed Timetable for NSUK Third Semester

The third semester will last a maximum of 8 weeks, divided as follows:Lectures: Six weeks in total, with three weeks for first semester courses and three weeks for second semester courses.
Examinations: Two weeks in total, with one week allocated to each semester.

First Semester Lectures:Duration: Three weeks.
Date: 14th October – 1st November 2024.

Second Semester Lectures:Duration: Three weeks.
Date: 4th November – 22nd November 2024.

Examinations:Duration: Two weeks.
Date: 25th November – 6th December 2024.
Important Note for NSUK Students

Participation in the NSUK Third Semester is optional and not compulsory.
