Overview of the SAZU Special Semester Programme

Following the approval of the Special Semester Programme by the Senate during its 51st regular meeting on 26th September, 2024, the implementation has begun.

The Special Semester is designed to support students who need to complete trailing or outstanding courses.

Final year students and spillover students are encouraged to participate.


Key Criteria for Participation in the Special SemesterThe Special Semester will last for six weeks, including registration and examinations.
Spillover I and II students are eligible to enrol for trailing and outstanding courses.
Final year students may also choose to participate.
Deferred Spillover students will be allowed to register for this semester.
Students applying for reabsorption must pay the reabsorption fee before registering.
A maximum of five courses is allowed, and those in their last residency may register for all pending courses.
Students must achieve at least 90% attendance to be eligible for examinations.
Payment and Registration Details

Participating students must pay a fee for each course.

The cost is ₦15,000.00 for the first course and ₦10,000.00 for each additional course.

All payments must be made through the University’s approved platform.

Students must report to their respective departments for clearance before proceeding to register at the ICT Centre.
