Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has appointed a new Acting Registrar following the expiration of the tenure of Rev. Samuel N. Ufoh.

The new Acting Registrar is Mr. Victor I.O. Modebelu.

Appointment Details of the New Acting Registrar

The appointment letter for Mr. Victor Modebelu is dated October 7, 2024.

It was signed by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Carol Arinze-Umobi, and approved by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Ambassador Greg O. Mbadiwe CFR, on behalf of the Governing Council.

This decision aligns with the guidelines set forth in Section 2.2.1i(iii) of the Senior Staff Conditions of Service.

According to the letter, Mr. Modebelu will serve as Acting Registrar until the appointment of a substantive Registrar, but his tenure will not exceed six months from the date of the appointment.
